Alan Forbes

I have watched the bohemian brush of Alan Forbes, for the past thirty five years, as it detailed the incredible cast of characters that he chooses as his subject matter. Although humor is always present in his work it is consistently overcome by the seriousness of his portrayal of the protagonists character. The narrative will be decided by the quality and strength of the subjects content, not the technical ability of the artificial to bullshit! He knows that as a psychedelic artist he must always illustrate the truth. Roky Erickson will appear as a two headed dog. ~ Mark McCloud
