Archaic Revival brings together 3 of the finest minds and brushes in contemporary Rock Art. Davey D’Andrea, Stacie Willoughby and Alan Forbes have successfully built upon the bed rock foundations laid down by the great West Coast comix, poster and album artists of the 60s and 70s and forged their own unique paths through mastery of technique, inexhaustible high octane imaginations and a striking capacity for the tangible and emotional expression of abstracts.
Each of their oeuvres manages to express and relate their own unique vision of art while simultaneously expressing and representing the heart and soul of the music that is often the subject and the inspiration for their creations.
For those of us who have spent a thousand late nights with our favorite records blasting through the headphones, letting our eyes take a trip deep into the album covers and hallucinogenic gig posters, standing in a room with these artist’s work hung from ceiling to floor is nothing short of stepping into church for psychedelic high mass.
Feast your eyes and mind on 21st century psychedelia of the highest degree!!!

Shipping
Posters are shipped in a sturdy tube via USPS Priority mail.
I usually do mailorder fulfillment on Fridays but it can vary.
I've been offering posters via mailorder for over 15 years and pride myself on honesty and integrity. That said, the mail service is sometimes responsible for damage and/or loss.
In these very occasional cases I always replace your poster or refund the money. Thanks for your support! David

All posters are screen printed on a semi-automatic press. This is an analogue printing technique in which one color at a time is printed with mesh screens.
The majority of my posters are printed at Broken Press (Seattle) or Monolith Press (Alameda CA).
-
Yes. All of my posters are made in collaboration directly (or via management) with the band. In most cases bands have heavy input regarding the artwork.
-
No. Band posters are printed one time in a signed and numbered edition. In a few cases I have created a second edition for different show dates or tours. If this happens I usually also change the colorway and/or paper.
When an edition is “sold out”, it is literally sold out. In an age of “print on demand” services I feel I need to clarify this fact.
